Somehow, I had switched bodies with Gage, a rich heir and CEO!
As we struggle to get used to each other’s lives, we slowly begin to understand ourselves- and each other. And amidst all the chaos… could there be something more?

Reveal the review

After a rough day at work, I just wanted something fun to watch—and this one was the perfect choice!

I’ve been hoping for more body swap series in the Vertical world, and I’m so happy we’re finally getting some! I’ll have to check out the others too. As for this one, I didn’t hesitate for a second—Nicole is one of my favorite actresses, so of course I had to watch it!

Meet Our Leads

Leah – A total fighter, literally and figuratively! I loved that she wasn’t a passive lead. She’s been through a lot, but boxing helps her cope, and she does everything she can to support her mother. A strong and determined female lead? Yes, please!

Gage – Not your typical cold CEO! He’s actually kind, doesn’t want to ruin people’s lives for profit (which is rare in the Vertical world!), but he lacks confidence and blindly obeys his father. He starts off a bit too passive, but that’s exactly why the body swap was necessary.

The Body Swap Twist

Because they’re so different, the swap helped them grow in unexpected ways. Leah brought some much-needed fighter energy into Gage’s life, and Gage finally realized the real impact of his father’s decisions.

But before we talk about the swap—can we discuss that ritual?! Who came up with this? Gage calling it “the most embarrassing moment of his life” had me dying!

When they finally swapped, they had no idea who they’d end up in—who does that?! Sure, I’ve thought about waking up in a billionaire’s body, but at least let me choose which one!

The morning after was hilarious, but I was surprised by how little they questioned what happened to their real bodies.
Leah realizing she was now Celine’s boyfriend should have triggered way more questions! Yet, she just hopped in a car like it was nothing. Meanwhile, Gage went straight to his company, after discovering he was in Derrick’s ex-girlfriend’s body. But, Gage, you get a bad mark for covering up Derrick’s past. This guy is absolute trash—why protect him? He should have been fired ages ago!

Meet the Rest of the Cast

Celine – Leah’s rival & Gage’s fiancée (in name only). They don’t even like each other, but his dad forces the relationship. Celine is your typical gold digger, but she actually works for her success—too bad she buys her wins instead of earning them.

Gage’s Dad – Unlike his son, he is the classic tyrant CEO. Power-hungry, controlling, and completely indifferent to his son’s happiness.

Leah’s Mom – A hardworking, supportive mother. We don’t always get nice moms in Verticals, so I appreciated her!

Gage’s Grandma – Loved her! The fact that she never liked Celine just confirms she has excellent judgment.

Derrick – Your classic jerk. His only redeeming quality? He didn’t try to drug Leah/Gage (low bar, I know). Maybe he should date Celine—too bad he’s not rich enough for her. Sorry Ricky!

Predictable But Enjoyable

The story unfolded as expected, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing! Everything made sense, though I wish we got more buildup in their romance—their feelings developed really fast. Still, it wasn’t too jarring.

One thing I didn’t see coming? Celine and Gage’s dad ending up together!  This girl truly has no shame—from one power grab to another. Too bad she bet on the wrong horse this time!

Awkward & Funny Moments

Obviously, a body swap storyline comes with plenty of awkward situations, but I wish we got even more!

  • The “early delivery” scene between Gage and Celine (if you know, you know) was peak funny-cringe.
  • I would have loved to see Gage deal with period cramps—missed opportunity!
  • The mystical “wizard” lady cracked me up. The endless costume changes? Why?!  But she was entertaining.

One of my favorite moments? Derrick getting punched over and over again. He deserved every hit, and it was so satisfying to watch. Also, shoutout to Tate—I’ve only seen him as the nice friendzoned guy, so this role was a refreshing change!

Final Thoughts

This was exactly the fun, lighthearted drama I needed after a stressful day! Nicole was incredible as always—she owns every badass role she plays. And Harrison? I definitely want to see more from him! It was different from the usual Vertical format, which made it even more enjoyable.
