Reveal the reviewThis was one of the most anticipated drops in the vertical drama world—Talia’s first lead role! And paired with Teig? We knew we were in for something special. The title might be wild, but what lies beneath is a rollercoaster of emotions, a tangled web of family pressure, betrayal, and unexpected love.
👩🍼 Leia – Our Resilient Heroine
Leia’s life is already on hard mode. Orphaned, cheated on, and told she may never have children—she’s been handed every heartbreaking trope you could think of. But Leia doesn’t crumble. She pushes through, and that resilience is part of what makes her so lovable. Talia gives her both strength and vulnerability, a refreshing balance we rarely see in one character.
💼 Alec – The Stoic CEO with a Soft Heart
Alec is the handsome, rich CEO with baggage of his own—starting with a toxic ex and an even more toxic mother. He’s drawn to Leia, even when circumstances pull them apart. He can be frustrating at times—especially with his silence when he should have stood up for Leia—but ultimately, you feel he’s trying to do right by her. His quiet protectiveness makes the moments he opens up feel even more rewarding.
🚗 Jerry – The Loyal Right-Hand Man
Assistant, driver, emotional coach, and part-time chaos instigator—Jerry wears many hats. His intentions are good, even when his choices cause a bit of trouble. What makes him a standout is his growth. He makes mistakes, sure, but he owns up to them. We love a man who learns!
👑 The Meanies – Classic Vertical Villains, Dialed Up
Let’s talk about Alec’s mom—prime example of a manipulative, image-obsessed parent. She’s the epitome of the “I know what’s best” kind of mom who somehow always knows what’s worst. And Beatrice? Wow. Disappears for seven years only to pop up with a child she claims is Alec’s? That’s drama. But it’s also a frustrating turn, especially when Alec lets her into his house without real proof. Leia handled it with more grace than most of us would have.
💔 Xavier – The Sweet Plan B
Xavier is one of those genuinely nice guys who just got caught in the middle. Unfortunately, he never stood a chance against Alec and Leia’s chemistry. But here’s hoping he finds someone worthy of his good heart.
🐶 #SaveCookie – The One Plotline We Didn’t Need
I’ve seen other people complain about it and I agree. Let’s be clear: the subplot involving the dog, Cookie, was absolutely unnecessary. It didn’t add to the story and sent the wrong message. We can do drama without animal abuse. It’s 2025—writers and platforms can do better. Let’s leave that kind of subplot behind, for good. I removed many points for this reason.
✨ Final Thoughts
This was a big milestone for Talia, and she totally delivered! Her chemistry with Teig was off the charts—fun, flirty, and just the right amount of emotional depth. The main plot brought humor, heartbreak, and feel-good romance, even if some of the secondary plot points were a bit much. Bonus points for what might just be the funniest title of the year. This one’s a winner in my book—minus the Cookie drama!
