Reveal the review

I was waiting for this one—a Vertical featuring Eric and Grace as the leads, and with Kelsey as the ultimate drama queen? No way I was missing this!

The story blends classic tropes: a flash marriage, a billionaire hiding his identity, and a wife bullied at work—but she has a secret of her own. Put it all together, and you get “What Happens in Vegas…”—and honestly? It works perfectly!

Meet Our Leads

Sophie – Hardworking and determined. Despite having a billion-dollar trust fund, she wants to succeed on her own. She could have started her own architecture firm (like in an alternate universe 👀), but instead, she chose to earn respect first—even if it meant dealing with the worst colleagues.

Lucas – A billionaire CEO, but also kind, romantic, and genuine. His mother wants him to marry for money, treating marriage like a business deal. But Lucas? He wants to marry for love.

After a wild night in Vegas, these two got drunk and… well, you know what happens in Vegas! But unlike the usual flash marriage, they didn’t have a one-night stand—and they quickly regretted it!

Workplace Struggles & A Secret Identity

One of the best things about Sophie is her refusal to take shortcuts in her career. She wants success through hard work, not unfair advantages. But the Vertical World isn’t fair—and her workplace is full of backstabbers. The other applicants tried to sabotage her, and her colleagues were even worse.

Luckily, Lucas intervened behind the scenes to protect her—not because she was incapable, but because others played dirty.

As for Lucas’s secret identity—I get why he hid it. But, as always, lies pile up, and eventually, there’s no way to come clean without hurting others. It’s a shame because he’s genuinely a good guy—sweet, caring, and kind.

Meet the Drama Queen: Bridget

Every Vertical needs a villain, and Bridget takes the crown.

Spoiled & Crazy – She’s convinced Lucas belongs to her, but instead of earning his love, she tries to force it. She keeps saying she wants him to love her, yet does everything possible to make that impossible. She’s just used to getting whatever she wants—too bad people aren’t possessions!

Nick the Jerk

Quick question—what is Nick’s actual last name? First, he was Nick Collier, then his résumé said Nick Smith. Until this is confirmed, let’s just call him Nick the Jerkbecause it suits him perfectly, don’t you think?

A Slow Burn Love

I always love when romance doesn’t move too fast. Even though Sophie and Lucas were married, they still took the time to date and truly get to know each other (despite the secrets…). Their feelings developed gradually, making their relationship feel real—and I really enjoyed that.

The Wedding(s)

First of all—who invited Chloe and Emma? I assumed they were random office bullies, but they turned out to be on another level. The cake sabotage scene? Absolutely disgusting—but shoutout to Joshua for making them eat their own mess!

Beatrice stopping the wedding? Thank you ‘mam! I still don’t know how she found out about it, but who cares—she spoke up, and I loved it!

MVP Award goes to Joshua! He collected all the evidence against Warren and helped expose the truth. Silent hero energy!

Final Thoughts

This one did not disappoint! I was so excited to see Eric and Grace as leads, and they delivered. Eric’s portrayal of Lucas gave me some Alex Crow vibes—maybe it’s the glasses and the calm, collected aura?

And of course, Kelsey stole the show. She’s always been amazing at playing spoiled, unhinged drama queens, and Bridget was next-level intense!

If there’s one final lesson from this series, it’s: “What happens in Vegas… doesn’t always stay in Vegas.”
