This was definitely a standout storyline! I’ve seen a few vertical dramas where the girl is reborn, but it’s usually just a few years back in time—not a whole century!

When Lila gets a second chance at life, she probably didn’t expect to wake up in the early 1900s as the head of a powerful Mafia family. Oh, and she’s now engaged to Eddie—the future Don of another notorious family. Bonus? He’s a total heartthrob. Could be worse, right?

But this is VertiLand… so of course, things don’t go smoothly. The marriage is arranged, and Eddie is less than thrilled about it. And if that wasn’t enough, her murderous stepsister Vivian—who killed her in the future—manages to sabotage her even in the past. Reborn in peace? Yeah, not a thing.

Despite all the family feuds, Mafia drama, and arranged marriage angst, Lila and Eddie somehow find time to get close. Really close. When Eddie realizes this Lila isn’t the same one he used to hate, he starts breaking down his emotional walls—and it’s everything.

The villains in this series? Absolutely rage-inducing. Vivian? No surprise there—she was toxic in both timelines. First, she murders Lila, then dies and tries to sabotage her again, and has the audacity to blame Lila for it? Please. Karma got you, girl.

Nicky and Vivian are basically twins in evil and stupidity—two unhinged narcissists trying to run Mafia empires. Yeah, no thanks. As for Luca, he was always the villain, so I didn’t expect much—but that cowardly ending? Mafia Boss energy, where?

Oh—and can we talk about the bullet scene? Eddie removing the bullet from Lila was gross enough… but then they kissed right after? I’ll never recover. That scene will haunt me forever.

🔚 Final Thoughts:

The “reborn in the past” twist was super refreshing, and I wish they’d explored that time gap even more! The prohibition-era moment was fun—I wanted more of that time-travel humor. Visually, the color grading and costuming nailed the vintage vibe, which really elevated the entire experience.
