Reveal the review

I just watched this right after waking up, and wow, that was intense! It’s been a while since I’ve been this excited about a ReelShort series—lately, I couldn’t find one that really stood out.

The main reason I wanted to watch this? Samantha! It’s been so long since I last saw her in a role. I first discovered her in early 2024 when I got into Vertical dramas, and I’ve been waiting ever since to see her again. So, of course, I had to check this one out!

From the trailer, I knew this wouldn’t be a comedy, but I wasn’t expecting it to be this intense.

Let’s Talk About the Parents

Sienna / Scarlett
Sienna was mistreated for years—she loved Wayne for 20 years, yet he barely showed her any affection. Even after he sent her to a mental hospital, she still held on to hope. There, she suffered even more abuse, and so did her little girl.

Before her “death,” Sienna was too passive, but I loved the new Sienna/Scarlett. She came back for revenge, and she owned it!

Wayne
Where do I even start? Deep down, I don’t think Wayne is truly a bad man—he wanted the best for his family. But he trusted the wrong people and made unforgivable choices.

The way he treated the real Ellie? Unacceptable. He chose to bring her home, yet he ignored her, never ensured she had what she needed, and showed no affection. Even if she wasn’t his biological daughter, that doesn’t justify the way he neglected her. He was weak—instead of trusting his instincts, he let Alison and his mother manipulate him.

Their Toxic Love Story
Their relationship was toxic from the start. And while I usually dislike sad endings, I’m honestly not sure I’m happy that they ended up together.

Sienna came back for revenge—she took down Alison! But in the end, she forgave Wayne, even though he did some horrible things. I didn’t want him to die, but I think he should have had more time to earn back Sienna’s trust and truly make amends before they reunited.

The Ultimate Villain: Alison

What. A. Monster. Alison is beyond cruel—she has zero empathy, even for a little girl who lost her mother.

She manipulated everyone, including her own daughter, teaching her to lie about her identity. She wasn’t just sneaky—she was dangerous. She could kill anyone without remorse. She even tried to murder a child!

Clearly, she was insane, and she deserved to be locked up forever!

Another Blind Mother

Once again, we have a blind, easily manipulated mom. But this time, I feel a little more sympathetic. She lost her daughter and believed that Sienna killed her, so I get why she was so full of anger and grief.

However, that still doesn’t excuse the way she treated the real Ellie. Whether she was her biological granddaughter or not, she was still just a child—how could she be so cruel to an innocent little girl?

A Huge Shoutout to the Child Actresses!

April and Anna were phenomenal! Their roles were crucial to the story, and they both delivered perfectly.

The Real Ellie (April)
Ellie suffered so much. Despite her horrific life, she remained a kind, strong girl. Honestly, it’s a miracle she didn’t lose her mind after everything she endured. Seeing her finally reunite with Sienna was such a relief! But watching her cry through all that pain? Heartbreaking.

The Fake Ellie (Anna)
One thing is clear—her mom trained her well. But I keep wondering… How did Alison manage to hide her from Wayne? That means she must have kept her daughter hidden for years.

So, in a way, Fake Ellie was also mistreated. The difference? Instead of staying kind like the real Ellie, her bad side grew stronger. She became a bully because she was manipulated by her mother.

And honestly? I felt bad for her. She was just a kid, not fully responsible for her actions. She only wanted her mother’s love. But when Alison didn’t get her way, she turned on her own daughter. That was so painful to watch.

In the end, Fake Ellie was sent to an orphanage. And I hated that. She deserved a second chance—she could have learned to be good if she had the right people around her. I wish Wayne, Sienna, and the real Ellie had taken her in. She shouldn’t have had to pay for her mother’s crimes—it felt so unfair.

Final Thoughts

This story was so intense, I couldn’t even cover everything that happened! If you plan to watch it, prepare yourself—keep some tissues nearby because you’ll need them!

Honestly, this series might just rekindle my love for ReelShort dramas! Last year, I watched so many, but recently, I drifted away to other platforms. If more high-quality stories like this one keep coming, I might just renew my yearly subscription!
