Reveal the review

A steamy werewolf romance with drama, twists—and a very worthy Alpha King contender.

Another werewolf series? Yes please. I was especially excited for this one because of the cast—and let’s be honest, I had to see if Cayman had what it takes to challenge Alpha Eric for the title of Alpha King. Spoiler: he totally does.

Let’s meet our leads:

Leah – An orphaned Omega just trying to live a quiet life—until her own boyfriend sells her out as a surrogate to make some cash. Ouch.

Lucas – Not just any Alpha… he’s the Alpha King. Forced into finding a Luna and producing an heir, he’s not looking for love—but fate has other plans.

Leah thinks she’s applying for a maid job at Lucas’s estate. Surprise! She’s been offered a surrogate role instead. Horrified, she bolts—only to find her boyfriend cheating with her best friend. Yep, all in one day.

Meanwhile, Lucas sees Leah and instantly knows she’s his mate. And from that moment, there’s no way he’s letting her go.

Lucas embraces the bond quickly. Leah? Not so much. But after one unforgettable (and apparently forgettable for her) night, she ends up pregnant—and hilariously confused. My top 3 fun moments:

  • Her reaction at the doctor’s appointment

  • Jumping into Lucas’s arms (twice!) because of a spider

  • That late-night pregnancy snack craving

You’ll have to watch to enjoy those fully. 😄

As Leah starts accepting Lucas and her new reality, drama arrives—as it always does—with the fabulous Melina, played by Robyn, who always slays the drama queen role. Melina first tries to kill Leah (classic), accidentally hurts Lucas instead, then invites herself into their home to reclaim her old flame. She once left Lucas for his brother—now she wants him back since he became Alpha King. Too late, girl!

Lucas, thankfully, isn’t falling for it. I especially loved the tense dinner scene where Leah and Melina exchange sharp, passive-aggressive digs—while Lucas silently and sassily sides with Leah.

Bonus characters we can’t skip:

  • Markus – Leah’s ex and a complete jerk (no offense, Tate!). But let’s be real—his betrayal brought Leah to Lucas, so thanks for that.

  • Leah’s foster father – Awful, but inadvertently helped Leah reconnect with her roots.

  • Alexander – Lucas’s brother. At first he seems like a threat, but he actually helps expose Melina’s lies in the most brilliant way at the ball.

  • Elder Rowan – Initially on the wrong team (Melina’s), but eventually redeems himself after realizing Leah is his long-lost daughter.

What’s great about this story is that even the “bad guys” serve a real purpose—pushing the plot and the characters forward in meaningful ways.

🐺 Final Thoughts

This was such a fun ride—full of steamy romance, family drama, and plenty of twists. And most importantly: Cayman has officially earned his place as a challenger for Alpha King status. I need a series with him and Alpha Eric as rival Alphas ASAP. Come on, Moon Goddess, don’t let us down!
