Reveal the review

Just from the poster, I knew this would be a comedy—but it turned out even better than I expected!

And is it just me, or is Kyra speaking with a different accent here? Since I’m not a native English speaker, I don’t always notice subtle accent differences (except for the obvious ones like American, British, or Australian), but something about her speech felt different. Maybe it’s just me, haha!

The Lead Couple: A Hilarious Duo

Isabella – A brilliant designer who ends up sleeping with a rich CEO after being drugged by her own sister. To avoid scandal, she’s forced into a marriage of convenience—but she leaves the country soon after. Now, she’s back in town!

Dean – The rich CEO in question. He’s planning to divorce his wife because he’s falling for someone else… but little does he know who his wife really is!

Honestly, this might be the funniest couple I’ve ever seen in a Vertical drama. Their chemistry is perfect! Usually, in this type of storyline, the leads have no idea who they married, but Isabella figures it out immediately—and starts messing with Dean! Not in a malicious way, but she’s definitely irritated that he thinks she’s some kind of scheming woman.

Their feelings become obvious pretty early on, and watching them fall for each other in the most ridiculous, adorable ways was just so much fun!

But the real twist? When Dean finally discovers Isabella’s identity, the story takes a turn. Someone tries to impersonate Isabella—but as they say, true love always finds its way. No matter the obstacles, these two keep coming back to each other!

The Trouble-Makers (And They’re a Mess!)

Shauna – A manager at one of Dean’s companies. She’s your classic abusive boss type. Oh, and she has a huge crush on Dean, so naturally, she wants Isabella out of the picture. But her little tricks? They end up causing her own downfall.

Stephen – Started off as Dean’s assistant and seemed like a nice guy… but wow, did he spiral into full-on crazy! His switch from being normal to downright dangerous was intense. Well done, Luke—his acting was on point!

Lilian – The ultimate Pick-Me girl. Usually, in dramas, this kind of character has zero chance with the male lead. But Lilian? She actually had her chance years ago—and she blew it. Now, after he’s moved on, she suddenly wants him back and expects him to forget everything. Too late, girl—he found someone better! Byeee!

Honorable Mention: The Real MVP

A special shoutout to Dean’s mom—she is all of us. She ships them so hard that she literally forces destiny to make sure they end up together.

The Funniest Moment? The Wedding Pictures!

There are way too many hilarious moments to list, but one that stood out was their wedding photos. Those pictures perfectly captured their chaotic dynamic!

Final Thoughts

If you haven’t watched this yet, go do it now! You won’t regret it! Kyra is amazing in comedy roles, and Gabe as Dean? Perfection! I honestly prefer him as a clueless, funny male lead. And these two together? Pure gold. I really hope we see them paired up again in another series!
