Reveal the reviewAnother project directed by Matt in just a few days—aren’t we spoiled? And this time, we get to enjoy the Alpha King himself, Eric Guilmette, in the lead! The entire cast is top-tier, and honestly, this is the best werewolf-themed Vertical I’ve seen so far.
Meet the Leads:
Sebastian – The fierce Alpha of the Prime Pack. As expected, he’s powerful, commanding, and definitely not used to being challenged. He harbors a deep hatred for Stealers, whom he believes were responsible for his parents’ death. But when Amber enters his life, everything begins to shift.
Amber – A runaway Stealer who fled her pack after her Alpha rejected her at the altar. According to lore, a Stealer can only be “cured” when her fated mate marks her. Hoping to start fresh, she joins the Prime Pack in search of a mate—but things don’t go exactly as planned.
Their chemistry is absolutely electric. Both are stubborn, hot-headed, and definitely not afraid to clash. Amber resists submission, and Sebastian struggles to accept his feelings for a woman who defies him at every turn. Despite their power plays and jealousy games (hello, closet kiss scene!), they’re undeniably drawn to each other.
Seriously—these two might have broken the record for most kisses in one series!
The Loyal Beta (and Unlucky Third Wheel):
Eric – The loyal Beta who quietly fell for Amber years ago after she saved him. Sadly, he ends up as the third wheel once again. Amber uses him to make Sebastian jealous, but it’s heartbreaking because Eric genuinely cares for her. Writers, please—give Betas a love story too!
Meet the Troublemakers:
- Kyle – Amber’s former mate and Alpha of her previous pack. Rejected her for being a Stealer, then tried to get her back once he realized she’d produce a powerful heir. Major jerk.
- Melissa – A delusional Gamma obsessed with becoming Luna. Too bad kindness, not arrogance, makes a Luna.
- Sheila – A fake friend who betrayed Amber to steal both her mate and her Luna title.
- Jenny – Melissa’s equally annoying minion.
Favorite Scene:
Hands down, Amber drunk and pushing Melissa while loudly declaring that the Alpha is hers! Iconic. Usually, it’s the Alpha marking his territory—this time, the Future Luna takes charge. Loved it!
Final Thoughts:
Honestly, this was phenomenal. The balance of romance, action, and comedy was spot-on, and the cast absolutely nailed it. Of course when you choose Eric Guilmette as your Alpha, you cannot be wrong, this guy is the Alpha of the Alphas, the true Alpha King! If you’re a werewolf story fan, this one is a must-watch.
