Reveal the reviewThis one immediately caught my eye — first because of the (very long 😅) title, and second because of the cast. It had all the ingredients to be a hit… and it absolutely was!
The story follows a classic trope with a royal and military twist. Dr. Charlie breaks up with her soldier boyfriend, Harry, because she’s struggling with her mom’s medical bills and doesn’t want to burden him. Little does she know… he’s actually a prince. But by the time the truth comes out, she has already faked an affair to push him away.
Fast-forward five years: they reunite on the frontlines. This time, Charlie knows who he is — but now she’s the one hiding a massive secret: a little boy, the unknown royal heir. 👑
This is such a classic Vertical plot, and yes, it had me screaming at my screen! 😂
The biggest issue here, as always in VertiLand, is the lack of communication. If only they had been honest with each other!
Harry hiding his identity at the beginning is somewhat understandable — but if you’re about to propose, maybe mention that you’re a literal prince, I don’t know, by date #4?
And Charlie, while I get that you didn’t want to burden Harry with your problems, true love is about sharing the highs and the lows. You can’t push people away just to “protect” them — real relationships are built on trust and support. So please, you two: TALK TO EACH OTHER!! 🙏
Oh, and about that delusional, arranged fiancée? Yeah… she wouldn’t even be a problem if Harry and Charlie had just communicated properly. Lesson of the day? TALK TO EACH OTHER.
Final Thoughts:
This story was so good, even if frustrating at times (as expected with this trope). Still, I love a good second-chance romance. And just in case it wasn’t clear yet: TALK. TO. EACH. OTHER. 😂
