My Review
this review might contain spoilers, are you sure you want to read it?
Reveal the reviewEveryone was talking about this one, so of course, I had to check it out! And I’m glad I did—it gave me major My Fault (Amazon Prime) vibes. While the plots aren’t exactly the same, the energy and romance definitely align.
Meet the Leads:
Sierra – A young aspiring photographer who’s lost her mom. She lives with her dad, but everything changes when he marries a billionaire’s wife and she has to move into a lavish new home.
Enzo – A genius F1 driver carrying the legacy of his late father, also a racer. Life throws a curveball when his mom marries Sierra’s dad.
Before they even realize they’re soon-to-be step-siblings, Sierra randomly kisses Enzo to prove she’s over her ex. Let’s just say sparks did not fly immediately. But it doesn’t take long before all that friction turns into something more. Enzo is the first to confess, while Sierra struggles to admit her own feelings.
Surprisingly Supportive Parents:
For once, we don’t get the stereotypical evil stepmom or slap-happy family drama! Eliza, Enzo’s mom, is classy, open-minded, and surprisingly cool about the romance. Mateo (Sierra’s dad) is a bit more skeptical, but only because he wants to make sure Enzo’s intentions are sincere—not because of the step-sibling drama.
Honestly, it was refreshing to see parents who weren’t creating chaos just for the sake of it. Their reactions were chill, even when the situation could’ve easily justified some resistance.
The Drama Queen:
Enter Chloe, your classic obsessive ex. She tries to sabotage them by threatening to tell Enzo’s mom—too bad the joke’s on her, since Eliza already gave them her blessing! Pro tip for all the drama queens out there: when the parents are this cool, your blackmail doesn’t hit the same. 😉
The Redemption Arc:
Dimon starts off as your typical sore loser and emotional mess, but surprisingly, he comes around. He realizes Sierra was never his to begin with and even supports her and Enzo in the end. Bonus points for choosing fair competition over pettiness. We love character growth!
Final Twist & Ending:
The last-minute twist about who the real villain was? 👏 Loved it. Totally didn’t see it coming. Also, shout-out to Sierra for rejecting Enzo’s proposal. They’re still super young, and that decision felt real. Just because they’re in love doesn’t mean they need to rush the next step.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, this was a solid one. It did feel a bit long in some parts—some scenes could have been trimmed—but still a great watch. And seeing Nicolo again? A treat! The cast nailed it, and if you’re into emotional romance with step-sibling tension and racing drama, this is for you. And yes—if you liked this, definitely give My Fault a watch too.
