Reveal the reviewAre you a fan of rom-coms? Because Grace definitely is—and now, she’s living one!
This sweet and funny Vertical will give you all the classic romantic comedy feels.
Grace is the quintessential rom-com heroine: a loyal assistant, secretly in love with her charming, emotionally unavailable boss, Brennan. But after years of silent admiration, she finally quits her job to move on—until Brennan asks her for one last favor… to be his fake girlfriend at his sister’s wedding. What could go wrong?
At first glance, Brennan seems like the classic playboy boss. But the more we get to know him, the more we see his act is just a shield. He’s not perfect, but he’s trying—and it shows. From protecting Grace at work, supporting her through personal loss, to even watching a rom-com just to make her happy (half a point for effort!), Brennan slowly earns his redemption.
The moment he opens up about his past, we see the real man behind the mask. And Grace? She never gives up on him. Even when she had every reason to walk away, she stood by him and saved the day again and again.
Special shoutout to that little growl Brennan lets out when Grace calls a lawyer to quit—I swear, Alpha Cayman energy is everywhere! 🐺😂 Brennan is a Wolf after all!
The only letdown? The ending! Please, CandyJar, give us a part 2! That is why it lost point on development!
🌟 Final Thoughts:
This is the kind of male lead we want more of—flawed but growing, guarded but learning to open up. A beautiful example of love built on mutual respect and communication. Watching this right after my red flag post? The timing couldn’t have been better. Let’s keep promoting these kinds of stories in VertiLand!
