Reveal the review

I didn’t expect much from this series—I was mostly curious. But it completely won me over! The leads are fantastic, the chemistry is incredible, and the story, though simple, proves that sometimes all you need is a well-told love story with heart.

Meet the Leads

Addy – A shy, introverted dancer with a beautiful soul but low confidence. After losing her mother in a tragic car accident, she struggles with panic attacks and emotional scars. She’s talented but uncertain, trying to find her place both in dance and in life.

Asher – A pretend bad boy with a soft heart. He puts up a tough front, but it’s only a defense mechanism to protect himself from love and heartbreak. Having witnessed his father’s infidelity and the collapse of his family, he swore off feelings and has never even kissed a girl—until Addy.

The two have known each other for a while—Addy is best friends with Asher’s sister, Kaylee. But this summer, while staying at their house to prepare for her Juilliard audition, everything changes. Addy has a secret crush on Asher, and during a masked kiss at Kaylee’s birthday party, their story truly begins.

Meet the Trouble

Jalina & Xander – The cousins and troublemakers. Jalina wants Asher and will do anything to sabotage Addy, even threaten her. Xander, Asher’s rival, uses Addy to get under his skin, but his intentions are far from pure.

Stop Pretending

Asher tries to play it cool, but jealousy reveals his true feelings. He becomes Addy’s support system, helping her through her panic attacks, respecting her boundaries, and never forcing her to open up before she’s ready.

Eventually, their secret romance is exposed. Kaylee reacts with anger at first, but quickly forgives Addy and gives her blessing. Addy misses her audition, but somehow gets a second chance. Asher finally drops his walls, and they both get accepted into their dream university in New York—love truly wins.

Final Thoughts:

This was a beautiful, heartfelt love story—different from your typical Vertical drama. The pace was well-handled until the ending, which felt a bit rushed. Still, the cast is amazing (I only knew Travis from My Ex’s Best Friends), and the emotional depth was refreshing.
Almost a 5-star—only losing points for the sudden wrap-up—but still a strong recommendation from me!
