Reveal the review

I’ve been recommended quite a few Verticals starring Alex Pytchin lately, and this one was high on the list! Honestly, there are so many great shows to watch — I just wish I had more time to get to them all!

In this story, we meet Mia, a sweet, resilient girl trapped in an abusive household. To escape her terrible home life, she agrees to marry a stranger — without any idea who he really is.
Turns out, her new husband Carter is a wealthy heir from a powerful family. While he initially marries to fulfill his grandfather’s wishes, it’s clear Carter had a crush on Mia from the start. 🥰

As always in VertiLand, drama quickly follows. Mia’s humble background sparks jealousy and cruel assumptions from those around her — especially from Lily, the textbook definition of delusional psycho ex. Accusing Mia of being a gold-digger (even though Mia didn’t even know Carter’s identity), Lily stoops to shocking lows, even hurting her own sister (that everyone thought was lost)!

Thankfully, Carter is a true gentleman, standing by Mia every time she needed him. And let’s not forget Grandpa — the real MVP of the story! 😂 His humor, wisdom, and love for Mia and Carter bring so much heart to the plot.

Carter and Mia’s chemistry is adorable and refreshing, even if their lack of communication sometimes leads to frustrating misunderstandings. (Seriously, how hard is it to say “I’m not in love with Lily” or “I’m not cheating with Jarred”? Come on, guys! 😅)

Final Thoughts
This Vertical has a truly fantastic cast:

  • Alex and Skye deliver amazing chemistry

  • Ella nails the villain role as Lily

  • Chris deserves a “Grandpa of the Year” award for his heartwarming performance!

If you haven’t watched it yet, definitely add this one to your list. Big thanks to everyone who recommended it — it’s absolutely worth it! 🙌
