Reveal the reviewThis series is pure chaos — and I mean that in the best way possible. I expected a light comedy, but what I got was a wild rollercoaster of humor, romance, and over-the-top moments that somehow still worked perfectly!
💞 The Leads
Brooke is a strong, independent vet who’s passionate about her job—even if her coworkers make life harder (classic Vertical move).
Silas? Easily the cutest Mafia boss in Vertical history. Most are brooding and scary. Silas? He dressed up as a mascot to propose. I can’t even take him seriously—but in the best way. He definitely fell first, and although he struggles to show it, his adorable awkwardness wins Brooke (and us) over.
⚠️ Love Triangle & Drama Alert
Amanda, our daily Drama Queen, abuses her power as a corrupt cop to blackmail Brooke into leaving Silas. Enter Nigel, the loyal friend who steps in to pretend he’s Brooke’s boyfriend. In a Silas-free universe, I’d root for them. But… Silas exists, and he’s the one Brooke truly loves. Sorry, Nigel—let me escort you to the friendzone.

Will and Steven are scene stealers. Their trio with Silas is comedy gold, and the scar-showing scene? Iconic.

It’s chaotic, sweet, and nothing like your typical Mafia story. Sometimes it goes a little too far with the goofiness, but overall, it’s a refreshing spin with a lovable cast. Mark and Nicole shine again, and Tate’s comedic side deserves applause. Also, the little rewind at the end? Chef’s kiss. 🍿
