Reveal the reviewA Lighthearted Vertical Comedy Full of Chaos, Charm, and Cheesy Love
If the title Escaping the Bridezilla doesn’t scream comedy, I don’t know what does. This one’s short, sweet, and hilarious — pure fun from start to finish!
Meet Our Leads
Reese (aka Damsel) – A top-tier wedding planner who’s amazing at organizing the most important day of her clients’ lives… while staying far away from romance herself. That is, until fate (and a broken elevator) throws her into the arms of someone completely unexpected.
Sebastien (aka Hard Hat) – A billionaire undercover. When he meets Reese dressed as a construction worker, he decides to keep up the charade — and for once, someone sees him and not his money.
They share one wild night after getting stuck together — Reese’s first time, no less — and their connection is undeniable. But, of course, this is a vertical drama… there has to be chaos!
Let’s Break Down the Drama
💥 Lies, Lies, Lies – Are we really surprised? The classic “billionaire pretending to be broke” trope is back. Sebastien’s intentions were kind, but the moment Reese learns the truth, everything falls apart — understandably so.
💍 The Bridezilla – Mara, Sebastien’s obsessive fiancé and the titular Bridezilla, is absolutely unhinged. She plans a wedding before even getting engaged, and turns her friend group into a Hunger Games-style competition for maid of honor. She’s rich, ruthless, and… Reese’s half-sister?! Yep. Family drama unlocked.
👨👧 The Contract Twist – Turns out, Sebastien has to marry Ian’s daughter per contract — but nobody said which daughter. Since Reese is also his child, this twist works in favor of our real couple. We love a legal loophole!
👶 Another Baby?! – Look, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… not every lead needs to end up pregnant. Reese being pregnant didn’t change the story much and felt a bit like filler.
Honorable Mentions
Bo – MVP comic relief. His energy and loyalty to Reese really stood out. When he helped mend things between Sebastien and Reese, I was cheering!
Damon – We didn’t get much screen time with him, but his reaction to Reese’s pregnancy reveal? “Holy fck.”* Yeah, same, Damon. Same.
Final Thoughts
Is it cheesy? Absolutely.
Did I laugh out loud multiple times? Also yes.
The nicknames were cute, the chaos was fun, and the whole thing gave feel-good rom-com vibes. If you’re looking for a vertical to lift your spirits, Escaping the Bridezilla delivers the drama and the laughs.
