🎬 It’s time for another “Get To Know Your Favs” — and this round, we’re heading behind the camera to spotlight an incredible director: Maria de la Ossa! 🎥✨

Born in 🇵🇦 Panama to a wonderfully multicultural (and artistically frustrated!) family, Maria’s filmmaking journey has taken her across continents — studying in the U.S. at the University of Florida and UCLA, and later in Australia at Charles Darwin University and AFTRS. Over the past 20 years, she’s balanced life, motherhood, and creativity to build an inspiring career.

By day, she’s a live sports TV director at Sky Racing World 🏇, and beyond that, she’s directed 12 narrative and documentary shorts — including “All That You Love Will Be Carried Away”, based on the Stephen King story. 📽️ She was awarded the 2023 Blackmagic Emerging Directors Fellowship and recently directed a new piece for Well, Actually Productions 👏

In the Vertical World, Maria is the brilliant mind behind “Daddy’s Best Friend Made Me His Billion Dollar Wife” 💍 (MoboReels & DramaWave), a sweet and feel-good series starring Alex Pytchin and CJ Walker 💖. And guess what? A new series is already on the horizon… “Alpha King, Your Luna Has Escaped” 🐺 sounds like it’s bringing the werewolf drama — so sharpen your claws and stay tuned! 👀🔥
